Take the following recent example: a client of ours wanted to better organise their inner city warehouse by clearing 40m3 of inventory but knew that they wanted to pull some of that inventory back during the year to replenish depleted stock levels. Seeing regular self-storage as a hassle, they called TAXIBOX and we scheduled delivery of 5 TAXIBOXES the very next day. By delivering the storage unit to the customer, this enabled them to load directly into the storage units from their warehouse without needing to unload at a self-storage facility saving time that could be used on the job. Plus, as a result of our unique modular design, the client was able to categorise and load different types of stock into each TAXIBOX, resulting in a highly organised method of storage and a better organised workplace that was more efficient and clutter free.

As their stock levels vary throughout the business cycle, they now have the ability to recall 1 or 2 or all of their TAXIBOXES to replenish depleted stock levels. The costs of doing so will be far cheaper than renting another warehouse and with TAXIBOXES high levels of security, they know their goods are safe and sound.

The client also has easy access to their inventory – they can either come down to our storage facility or they have the option of us delivering one or all of their TAXIBOXES back to their workplace for more loading or unloading before taking it back to storage. On request, we could even deliver one of their TAXIBOXES directly to a customer’s site for delivery of their goods!

Using TAXIBOXES with Removalists will save you time and money. Why? Because removalists will only have to load once (they do not have to load and unload at the self-storage facility). Consider the following scenarios:

Typical self-storage scenario:

Assume:
• removalists – $82.5 per hour
• hours required to load goods into the truck – ~4 hours
• hours required for removalists to drive to storage facility – ~30 minutes
• hours required to unload goods from truck into storage unit – ~4 hours

Cost for removalists: 17 hours @ $82.50 = $1402.50 ($701.25 each way)

Assume:
• removalists – $82.5 per hour
• hours required to load goods into your TAXIBOX – ~4 hours
• hours required for removalists to drive to storage facility – not required

While metal containers are great for shipping, they often leave customers less than impressed when used for long term storage. Here’s why TAXIBOXES are better than metal storage containers:

1. TAXIBOXES are made from a heavy-duty wood composite which allows the contents to breathe. Metal containers are usually sealed and often have problems with mildew and/or condensation.
2. TAXIBOXES always remain flat and are never tilted. On-site containers are often tilted when delivered and picked up which can cause load shift.
3. TAXIBOXES allow you to stagger and plan the loading and unloading of your furniture. For example, you could have TAXIBOXES sent to you on different days or to different locations making loading and unloading easier and alleviating time pressure.
4. Our unique modular system allows different rooms in the house to be categorised in different TAXIBOXES. This system also reduces the need to sift through a large shipping container should you ever need to remove an item.
